Shivakumar Patil:
Shivakumar Patil (1995--) had his basic education in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharwad. He had his Plus 2 education from Hyderabad. He had his BE from KLE’s BVB Engineering College, Hubli and MS in CS from California State Univ. Loss Angeles, USA. Right now he is working for TCS, Philadelphia, USA.
Shivakumar Patil is a born genius in music. He had his Hindustani music education from his mother and light music education from Achytarao, Dharwad. He gave concerts in Dharwad Dist Utsava, Mysore Dasara, 2014, Hampi Utsava, 20??, Udaya TV??, and he had CCRT scholarship for many years. Mallikarjun Patils Family
Mallikarjun Patil’s wife Dr Nanda Patil is a fine artist in Hindustani music. She happens to be an Associate professor at the Univ. College of Fine Arts and Music, Dharwad. She is a musicologist. Prof Patil’s daughter Ashwini Patil has settled down in Seattle, Washington State, USA. His son Shivakumar Patil has his MS from California State Univ, Loss Angeles and is working for TCS in Philadelphia right now. He is likely to settle down there.
Dr. Nanda Patil:
Prof Mallikarjun Patil’s wife Dr Nanda Patil (she got the Honorary Doctorate from Karnataka State Akkamahadevi University, Vijayapur in 2019) is a great artist from Dharwad. She happens to be a great performing artist in Hindustani and Vachana music. As a graduate of MA and PhD in music she had both rank and gold medals, and state award from the Dept of Youth and Sports, Govt of Karnataka. Ashwini Patil:
Ashwini Patil (1992--) is born and brought up in Dharwad. She had her basic education in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharwad, her plus 2 in DPS, Mumbai (MS) and her B. Tech, VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Now she has done her MS at Syracuse University (NY, USA). She is the daughter of Dr. Nanda Patil, a well-known vocalist in Hindustani music. Her father Dr. Mallikarjun Patil is a Professor and former Registrar, Karnatak University, Dharwad, and he is a bilingual writer. Ashwini’s brother Shivakumar Patil (1995--), with MS is working for TCS, USA. Ashwini is a good vocalist in music. Dr. Nanda Patil herself has been Ashwini’s guru. visit www.drnandapatilacademy.com

Now Dharwad has Dr Nanda Patil Sangeet Academy (www.drnandapatilacademy.com) since 2016 and it is a great thing for fine arts scholars/students and practitioners. The academy conducts classes in music, holds music competitions; and conducts music festivals.
